Police Kids Toy Car game testing

We make apps for the little ones. Mostly car apps like Kids Toy Car.  Development is a lonely process in which you can sometimes forget about the people you are making your app for.

As a game developer before launching we have to do some testing of our apps and get feedback how it works and is it playable and intuitive.

problem

As adults, it is difficult for us to be sure what is intuitive, playable and understandable in kid apps.
Therefore, the entire process from idea to implementation has to be checked by children. So when the time comes for tests there is no alternative but to check out the game and its attractiveness with children.

How can you find testers for your kids apps:

1

Your own kids and kids in your family and friends1002866_462612760503550_621819550_n

Parents that are game developers have testers at home. It can be family time and work at the same time. You can’t even imagine what kids can come up with while testing your app. It’s always amazing to whach what they do and how they play with elements of the game.

A very good way to get feedback is to send your app to testers like #fourlittletesters. A family of four with a dad that helps testing kids apps. They helped us with Curious Kid and Toy Car  Andy and his kids analize every little detail and then write it down so you can see many opinions and flaws in your app.

Finding a helpful school or kindergardenOnce again, thanks to headmistress Danuta Suski, parents and children from Żaczek we had the opportunity to conduct a lesson from the series “Occupations of our parents”, where we showed the children how programming works and tested our upcomming new production Police Kids Toy Car to see how children react.

Police Kids Toy Car is the second in Kids Toy Car simulators  series of games for children. The apps are focused on creating space for children to discover the front seat of a real car.
This time we give the opportunity to find out what’s inside a police car. You can see all the interesting elements of the police equipment such as handcuffs or police ‘lollipop’. The child can also take a ride patrolling streets and solving problems of everyday police life.

Meeting with children began by telling about Galante Games  and how to make games.

Then we decided to show how programming works. How did we do it? Gosia turned into a nice robot.

The task was to make her to walk to the children window by telling her what to do. But how to do it? Little robot has proven to be stubborn ;). It responded only to commands in which children had to move its legs and hands. The ultimate goal was to cause the robot to kick a ball out of the window.
Children raged :), and then each of them wanted to play the robot’s role.

After a workout of “programming” the robot we moved on to what we, the professional game developers, were able to program recently. To the game Police Kids Toy Car.

Put some gas and go! Up. Down! Faster! Oh, wait, I think I saw a cat. Does it need some help?

While children were having a lot of fun with our app we carefully noted all the observations and comments. At the end of the game Police Kids Toy Car is created for small players.

Observations in the last part of the meeting certainly helped us to create a better game and to adjust the difficulty level of certain tasks. Soon we will be able to show you the efect of our tests.

Stay tuned- Police Toy Car is comming to town soon!
